I know it's short notice, but for anyone who's bored in the Nashville area, there's going to be a panel on music downloading and all the associated issues from the perspective of musicians (including Public Enemy's Chuck D), consumers and industry fatcats at vanderbilt today from 5pm-7pm in Langford auditorium. Go to www.vanderbilt.edu for more info.

I'm hoping I'll make it. If so, I'll try to report on it.

He was at MTSU last semester, and stayed until very very late talking to anyone who had a question, or just wanted to say "hi." He was quite cool.
That's so NA.

an easy way to lose it all
always there when all else fails

I saw him speak at Vandy in 2000. He was very friendly and very generous. I have to admit, though, that my favorite parts were when he was telling stories about the PE days.

In 2000, he seemed somewhat current, though. Or at least not that far removed from the world of popular music. Nowdays, he seems kind of like a relic, doesn't he?
