I know it's a few weeks away, but I'm pretty stoked about this one.

Someone on the 'Zine says the show was a big disappointment. Anyone care to offer their opinions?

I thought it was great, myself, but I'm pretty biased.

Despite the fact that their bass player is an egomaniacal prick, I think Harper is great. Funny enough, I think the first two shows they played at The Sutler were better, but they were still highly enjoyable last night. Ben has a great sense of melody and Sam is REALLY fun to watch. They have a great 70s Rock/Power-Pop vibe. Definitely the stand-out band from the past year. I don't think it will be too hard for Mr. Harper to shake the dude-who-used-to-be-in-that-other-really-sucessful-band label.

Harper has had better shows. The Whole Fantastic world was good, but I don't know if it is "my thing" enough for me to ever really get into it (however the members of the band that I talked to were very friendly and based on that I'd be willing to give them more of a chance than I normally would). I thought it was the best DND show I've seen in quite awhile. They just seemed to have a renewed energy and it was fun again.

I just don't like shows at The Mercy Lounge. It's not a very good sounding or comfortable room.

I think the joke was already inserted in the above quote.

I for one had a good time.

I really like Harper. They are cool. I hope to see them more.

Whole Fantastic World was interesting enough for me to give them a second try, but their set was a bit long, and they took a while to tune.

I loved seeing DND back and in good form. The older songs were obviously not as polished as the stuff they play more regularly, but they played Top of the World, so I don't care.
I can't grow a beard, and I don't like to party.

My bad. I was sick and missed the show. I should have guessed though.
