I know there are a lot of Elvis Costello fans on the board, and I just read that his Elvisness is slated to appear on Leno Friday night. Double check though - I have a history of being wrong.

Speaking of your loves...

Michael Stipe was on Carson Daly last night. In this interview, Stipe exploited Carson Daly's severe lack in knowledge of anything that Stipe might actually want to talk about. In Carson's defense, he was too young to know any of the shit that Stipe was talking about. I think Stipe knew it though; which showed how big of an asshole he can be, considering his continuous questions regarding things that Carson Daly would never have any reason to know. But, I don't like Carson Daly, because he is a jackass. So, I'm not sure who to cheer for in such a fight.

I met Mike Mills today while I was working. Shook his hand. I damn near lost it. I'll tell the whole story sometime soon on my Harvey Pekar thread.

He would name off 80's hotel locations, clubs and obscure bands that led REM to New York on their first visit and ask CD, "you know what I'm talking about, right?", when it was obvious that Daly had no earthly idea what he was talking about. It happened on approximately ten occassions.

I'm so jealous of you. Was it anything like lawnwrangler's Mike Mills encounter?

I'm sorry I missed that. Michael Stipe is a little arrogant. But Carson Daly has to be involved in downfall of mankind, somehow.
remember that its all in your head.
