Yeah, I know it's at Rocketown, but this should be a really fun show. I think it's only $5 and it's advertised for 8pm. Does anyone know if Rocketown shows start promptly? I would assume Jetpack is first.

I just found out today that Stuff Magazing deemed "Feable Weiner" the best new band name. They also got a nod (in Spin I think) as one of the top 100 bands to watch in 2004. These are quality guys-- they deserve every bit of their success-- whether you like the music or not, they work really hard.

Feable Weiner!

Jetpack!

Here is the line-up from rcktwn.com. It seems like Jetpack and Feable Weiner are playing in different rooms. I've never been there, so I don't know how it works:

EMPYREAN Neo / Grand Revue / Jet Pack
Level One Feable Weiner / Cruiser Weight / Sadie Hawkins / The Golden Sounds
Main Harlem Streets
Cover $5 | Doors 8 PM
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

I can completely understand if people are turned off by The Weiner's silly songs and stage presence (I hated them at first, but they grew on me quickly), but they are quite possibly the tightest local band I've ever seen. Between how much effort I'm sure they put into that, and how much they tour, I truly believe they desserve all the success they've gotten and will continue to get. There are local bands I like better (obviously The Features for one), but I don't think anyone around here is tighter or works harder.

From what I've seen/heard, I completely agree, Keith.

One time I was walking on West End near Tower and saw a Feable Weiner poster stapled to a telephone pole. I went and looked at it more closely and it had all of the dates for their current tour on it. I'm not exaggerating, ya'll, when I say that said tour was at least 80 dates long. Now I'm not sure if they were opening for someone else or whatever, but that is one ambitious fucking tour, regardless.
