I just noticed this piece of news on their website, very disappointing:

Green Rode Shotgun would like to thank all of you guys for supporting us over the past few years. We have been blessed with the opportunity to make music together and have had the time of our lives doing so. Though we hope to play live again someday, GRS is taking an indefinite hiatus.

We started this band because we love making music together. Over the past several months we recieved a lot of “industry” attention, and, although that is exciting, it also creates a lot of pressure to be more aware of the business implications of everything you do, play, etc. That mindset took its toll on our creative energy and spirit. With respect to these facts we have decided to take a break.

We hope to play again someday sooner or later as Green Rode Shotgun and hope to see you all there when we do. Until then, thanks again for all of your support.

They are actually still playing together, minus the lead singer, under the name Yenko Camero I believe.

In that case, you can see them tomorrow (firday) night at Wall$treet in Murfreesboro with Girls and Boys and FizGig.

Do Girls and Boys have their own website? If not, what's the best way to learn when/where they're playing?
grass stains, airplanes, anything and everything

Glad to know they are still together in one form or another, but I am entirely too far away to go to any upcoming shows.

They do, and I think it's Girlsandboysmusic.com.

How will this new band be different? I'd give it a shot if Sergio is writing all the material.
I can't grow a beard, and I don't like to party.

Just don't forget the "music" part-- especially if you're at work.

Also, TF, as a more general answer-- NashvilleZine.com is an excellent (albeit at times selective) source for shows. They've been good to G&B thus far.
