I just can't help but like Justin Timberlake's "Rock Your Body." At least, up until that horrid beat-boxing. Oh, and T.I.'s "24s". Mainly because of the line "My niggas lookin' at me to see if my eyes open/Cuz I've been drinkin' and I've smokin'...." I so can relate.

People that I encounter in life always want to put my love for Boston in the "guilty pleasures" category. I don't feel any guilt, though. Listen to their first album, then talk to me.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I'll 2nd that Hall and Oates... the hair bands I despised as a kid have all of a sudden become a closet listen for me... I think it all started with that damn Great White club burning...

Phil Collin's hits collection. With or without Genesis, it's just good fun. Other than that, I don't consider anything else I like a 'guilty' pleasure. Luda-man is a very innocent pleasure of mine...

I do not enjoy Foreigner one bit, but one of my fondest memories of past years involves me and my sister singing and doing dorky, interpretive dances to "Cold as Ice". It's a fun song.

"Parkin Lot" by The Left Rights. The rest of their "material" (and in effect Mindless Self Indulgence's material) kind of sucks but "Parkin Lot" is just amazing. 37 seconds of awesome incarnate.

Was that a "Latin" song? I thought the guy was like the 00's equivalent of Vanilla Ice or something. Shows what I know.

But SOO FLATT. I'm sorry, but I am always amazed at how unendowed she is. Not that it makes her any less attractive. In fact, it's probably a good thing that a woman with no boobs is hailed as sexy today.

I just can't help but like Justin Timberlake's "Rock Your Body."  At least, up until that horrid beat-boxing.
The other day I bought like 12 cd's at Grimey's...The guy is ringing me up...new Beulah, The Sleepy Jackson, Sufjan Stevens- typical Grimey's stuff...then he gets to the middle of the pile where he finds Justin Timberlake. I think he was offended that they even had it in the store. I couldn't help it...now that's a GUILTY PLEASURE, when you hope the guy ringing you up won't notice!

Completely agree....also gotta love Tears for Fears....I don't know what the association is between the two in my mind, other than my mother listened to them.

Tears for Fears
I enjoy Tears for Fears with no guilt attached. However, I don't love them enough to buy an album, so the guilt is truly un-tested.

That Justin Timberlake record may be the only listenable "pop" record of the last few years. I don't think its anything to feel guilty about.

My guilty pleasure votes:

Carole King's Tapestry: man that's a great record I don't care what anyone says. I'll also add Carly Simon's "Anticipation" and "You're so Vain." Those are reeeaaallyy guilty ones.

Is there any reason to feel guilty about Jacko's "Billie Jean" or "Thriller"?

Counting Crows first two records.

p.s JC, Boston sucks.

agreed. i can't go for that, private eyes, you make my dreams, maneater (which i've read was the biggest hit of 1983, my year of birth), & kiss on my list are all choice as far as i'm concerned. while i may not own any hall and oates, i do enjoy catching them the radio.

"I sort of like Quiet Riot, but all I have of theirs is their first three albums, three posters, promo presskits, autographs, and one Japanese import."

It isn't that far of a jump, really.

Yeah, but at least I didn't mention the two t-shirts (depicting the covers of Vulgar Display of Power and Far Beyond Driven), 4 or 5 concert ticket stubs from the mid-90s, and minor label cassette tape entitled "Power Metal" purchased from the father of Vinnie Paul and Diamond Darrell. I mean, hypothetically speaking...
