TOPIC: iTunes?

Anyone else completely fallen for iTunes? I find it a much more enjoyable way to listen to my music than any of the other programs, and with the built-in share, every audio file in my apartment is at my constant disposal. I'm amazed at how much more I listen to music on my computer now...

Anyone else a fan?

Only since 2001. I hardly listen to CD's anymore. When I buy a CD it gets loaded on the Mac. I have several playlists that I employ. I usually have it going while I work. Now if I can just convince BrianW that his iPod belongs at my house...

I have been working on a project for an indie label - setting up a digital distribution network for their catalog on iTunes, Musicmatch, Napster etc.

Anyway, I came across a new service called Audio Lunchbox that features ONLY indie music. It launched on Halloween, and is PC/Mac compatible. Once you pay for the download, you get unlimited transfers & burns, which is different than most of the services. They told me single songs were .99 and albums not more than 9.99.

Has anyone used this yet? Anyone tried Napster since the relaunch?

I'm completley ignorant when it comes to technical things.....do iTunes work only for Macs?
That's so NA.

I think they now have a version for PC... not 100% sure. But it comes free with all Macs. It is by far the best jukebox application. You can quickly set up playlists, sort by a whole variable of things, burn to cd and have it manage anytype of music you put into it. And if you have an iPod, they sync up and update each other automatically.

iTunes has no "full registration." It is full-featured for free. And that means full speed burning AND some nicities (like volume equalization on burning, key for the mixed source Features mix cds that I make for bringing to work).

I haven't tried the iTunes Music store, I have no real interest in that. But I love the program for listening on my PC.

I do love iTunes. It's definitely the best jukebox program out there. It kills Musicmatch and I'm glad I don't have to use that bloated batch of code anymore.

The iTunes Music Store is nice. I've downloaded a few songs from it but I have yet to find a full length that I want to buy. I like the high quality previews and the downloads are fast. The recent CDs I've purchased (like the new Death Cab, The Shins, etc.) still aren't available on there so... but it is good for picking up some singles I like and I can feel legitmate about it.

The iPod's pretty sweet as well and I'm afraid will not wind up at Frog's house anytime soon.

I'll finally be exiting this sad state of PC existence at the end of this school year and will be happily in mac land... where I've spent most of my time anyway, what with being in a film major and all. And when I leave PC land, I'll be buying an iPod (finally).

As my friend put it: "The iPod is like Jesus. Once you find it, you define your life as the time before, or the time after."
