TOPIC: Jetpack Music Video shoot
Posted  Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 8:38 AM
Post 1 of 25
Hey guys, I'm going to be shooting a video for Jetpack Saturday morning, May 14th at Lipscomb. We need extras to play students in a classroom.

We will shoot your scenes first and promise to let you have the better part of your Saturday. Should only take a couple hours. PM me if you are interested or post questions and or sarcastic comments in the thread for all to see... No pay, but if you can wrestle a donut and pizza from the crew you're a bigger person than I.

Also, if anybody wants to help (i.e. crew) give me a shout as well.

I love Jetpack almost as much as I love myself. I'll pencil you in...

I think I'm a bit old to play the role of "student". Are there any lunchlady or janitor roles available?

it was a great day. i got to "sub" on bass so that was a blast. i'm not sure on all the screen names that were there but peacefrog, roadie and brianw were a professional and cool director/crew combo. here are some photos from my perspective: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dewese/sets/337421/

The drummer is out of town and the bass player quit. Although I must say that it would be an even awesomer band with dd and Brian

Agreed. Plus, think about this scenario at your local rock club: the Foxymorons play their set, stay onstage and quietly switch their instruments, the band announces themselves to be Jetpack and begin rocking, and all of a sudden, the unassuming guitarist and keyboard player prove to be amazing songwriters all their own. I think the effect would be pretty astounding.

It would also be cool when Brian's arms fell off in that process.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Totally awesome video. Ah, fond memories...

The scribblin's and all that were very cool. I'm pretty much amazed.

Great work, Mr. Denning.

I'm a little on the fence about the scribblin's. I bet some of the "extras" are pissed that their faces are blurry. (For those who couldn't tell, Chris Slack, Doug from the Clutters, and our very own Roadie were all in the classroom scene)

Good call not blurring the band member's faces (at least during the band shot) cause they're all so hott! Extra good call not blurring the janitor's face. His performance was brilliant, by the way.

Speaking of the janitor, does anyone recognize that white jumpsuit? Hm? Hm?

It's really not blurred... they are chalk drawings... maybe I need to send them a better compressed version. Toward the end of the song, the effect is wiped away and everyone gets their day in the sun...
