Ok, 'boro dwellers, some of you might be familiar with this band having seen them at 12th and Porter a week or so ago - however, if you're not they will be rolling into Murfreesboro on the 15th - playing at the 'Boro, of course. Now, being a hardcaroe Nashville native and having great love for the Murfreesboro music scene (which is what I like to refer to as the REAL nashville sound), I've talked this particular venue up as the happiest place on earth (hey, it was the first place I saw the Features play, so it has to be). At any rate, go check them out next Saturday and give them some love. They're really quite tight and put on a balls out rock show.

If you haven't seen them, they are of an alt-country genre - but fear not, this is "country" for those who, having grown up in Nashville and therefore hate anything remotely related to it, do not like country. Think more along the lines of dirrty southern rock...

yeah, that's dirty with two "r"s.
It's all about taking the easy way out for you, I suppose.

They're pretty popular in Memphis. I saw them at the Deli in March.

also on the 15th de novo suck will be opening for "i am the world tradecenter" at the end. we actually would love our regulars to try to make this show so we might be able to get on the road with a kindercore act if we impress. but lucero are pretty awesome.

they didn't super-suck or anything. i guess their stuff was just not memorable enough for me. i couldn't remember one song they played after they finished their set. i guess i should just resign myself to the fact that i like happy, quirky pop-rock.

At the DND show in Knoxville, the sound guy kept playing the same cd over and over again. I later found out it was Lucero. It was very good. I tap danced to it.

The lead singer's legs were killing me. I liked their music ok. I thought the first three songs were pretty good.
That's so NA.

We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

I kind of liked 'em. A little too wannabe Clash, but otherwise good.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.
