For anyone who's interested, Matt Sharp, formerly of The Rentals and Weezer, will be performing at MTSU's Tucker Theatre on Sunday, November 23rd, at seven o'clock.

Also playing will be Mercator, Ridah World Productions, and Apollo Up.

Admission is two cans of canned food, to be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.

I have to work that show, but I think I'll be hitting Save-A-Lot and getting a ton of beans or something anyways. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

This isn't being advertised, but people are "encouraged" to bring pillows to the show, 'cause I think Mr.Sharp wants to pull kids up on stage to sit around. I can't think of any other reason for the pillows.....

That would be a million times cooler.
He normally plays clubs without seating, but he prefers that people sit because his music is very sleepy and relaxing. I saw him at Blue Sky Court and had to sit on a rug (one of several he provided) behind a bunch of people in chairs. Sorta crappy. The music was alright, though.

I heard he actually had a show in a matress factory one time, but decided to never do that again because too many spectators fell asleep.

lol I hope the pillow thing is true I'd hate it for the kid who came with a pillow and noone else had one. Then their reputation would thus be ruined due to a pillow... They would be known as the retarded person with a pillow.... sad.gif laugh.gif

Well, I guess don't bring pillows....I was just told I wasn't supposed to tell people that. But I think I'll bring one.
