Holy shit is right!

I never thought they would come here. Therefore I already bought tickets to see them in Chicago this weekend. Oh well... I guess I can say that I'm seeing them 2 times this month!

This is awesome news!

The site is now saying 18+. I doubt they would change that.

yeah, i just looked...

Tues, 11/30 - MUSE with tba at 9, $14 in advance / $16 at door, Ages 18 and up admitted

i really hate ticketmaster... and with surcharges i'll wind up paying more than the door price (which is fucking ridiculous), but i might have to buy em early anyway just to make sure.

i've been waiting to see muse in a club with a proper show (curiosa was too short to count for anything.. outdoor during the day, as well) for the better part of 4 years. after seeing the live dvd, i can't wait to see em in a small club.

yeah, i didn't see this coming, especially not at the mercy lounge...but i am certainly excited!! hell yeah!!! they still haven't announced a make-up for that cotton club disaster, though, so i don't know what's up with that. you'd think they'd play atlanta before they would play nashville again...

Where are presale tix available? Muse is an AMAZING live act. I caught them in 2000 opening for the Foo Fighters/RHCP and again at Curiosa fest. I actually lucked out and got to meet the band and play poker with them via a radio promo. They totally whipped my ass too. Nice guys though.

ticketmaster's got a presale thing up. password's absolution.

... so, i don't have the extra cash for my girlfriend's ticket, and she doesn't either. i think i'm just gonna have to say "baby, i'm sorry, but i gotta go without ya."

if they play stockholm syndrome like they did at curiosa i think there's a good possibility i'll shit myself.

Does that make me more or less of a geek because I woke up the morning of the presale and decided to try to guess what the password was? I got it on the first try.

shit, man...i wish i had bought eight, but i only got two--and i've already got several people fighting over that one extra...what would fix this entire situation is if nashville had one decent venue for muse to play in...the mercy lounge is clearly way too small, and there's no sensible place to move it to...lame.

Mercy Lounge should cancel their weekly live band karaoke thing Dec. 1 and invite Muse to play a second show. That's an offnight for the band and they only need to be in Orlando the next day. If this many tickets were sold in advance, I'd bet they'd sell plenty of tickets for a second show.

i've seen them four times now, and that was the worst & the least ear-splittingly loud they've sounded by far, including the outdoor shows. what should one expect from the mercy lounge, though? i still had a fantastic time...i would've preferred hyper music and/or space dementia making the setlist. here is the set, from what i can remember...quite possibly not in the correct order:

the small print
new born
sing for absolution
butterflies & hurricanes
bliss
hysteria
ruled by secrecy
citizen erased
time is running out
plug in baby
thoughts of a dying atheist
stockhome syndrome
apocalypse please
microcuts

well thats the only time ive ever seen them so thats all i have. the energy of the people around me was enough to make the show. plus everyone around was just so happy and excited about everything...it was a crowd that felt a lot more positive than most shows ive been to.
im really glad microcuts made it onto the set list (as it wasnt written down). waiting 2 hours before doors opened was well worth it.

the crowd was awesome--and we earned that encore, too. the house lights had already come on, they were taking down their stuff, and some crappy music had begun...but we weren't having it. it was a very excitable audience, especially as nashville rock n' roll audiences go...there were joints being smoked (ahem!) and beers being jostled and spilled upon other people (AHEM!). i warily took note of the sheer number of rawk types who were there...and it was funny to see all those metal t-shirts sans-irony!

maybe next time they come in town, i'll get my fucking ticket as soon as i can. oh well, i had to move to a new house this week, so it wouldn't have worked out all that great anyway.

Maybe it was just that I was not feeling very well, but the crowd really really annoyed me at this show. I never have to argue with people around me at shows usually, but I did at this show.

Overall though, it was a wonderful show and it was great seeing them again!
