So who is making it out to to the show Thursday night? Personally, I can't wait. Seeing the opening acts would be enough for me but Nada Surf too?! Better believe it to be one of the best shows of 2003.

oh and then a couple other decent shows the next two days...

What do you all think?
Eh.

I'd be all over it if I was going to be in town. I'm still debating on whether or not to see them with Death Cab (again) while I'm in New Orleans this weekend. They're actually playing some club on the same block as my hotel. It'll almost make up for missing the Features. Okay, not really.
Daigle is all we need to make the night complete

I'm hoping to be there myself. I think Proxmity Effect was quite underrated.

Wish I could see this show. Nada Surf are a very great band. Are John Davis and Darren Jesse playing together? Would be interesting.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

I wish I could be here, too. I'd like to hear what Darren has been doing lately. I've also heard the past Nada Surf albums have been very very good. Oh well, mr. Folds will be out of town, anyway. So will mr. foldsfan, we're playing with Robert Sledge and and Snuzz's (Ben's touring guitar) new band on Saturday in Knoxville. I'm not sure if that makes up for missing the Features.

i really wish i could go to this show. nada surf are so great, and definately under appreciated. i will be with foldsfan out of town. we are having a romantic getaway at dollywood. don't believe a thing he says about having out of town shows as an excuse. he is just a little shy about the nature of our relationship

i went. darren jesse's set was enjoyable. john davis' was not. he's all about gospel and blues music now. his guitarist had horrible case of blues face. mr davis sang about jesus and salvation and mercy. i can't tell if he's a born again christian or what; maybe he met his backing band at church.

nada surf was really good. they write fantasic pop songs & you can tell they're still having fun. i want to cut the bass player's dreads off though.

actually you are right about john davis being born again. superdrag's last show had quite a few altered lyrics to accomadate this. and it was weird because a lot of the audience cheered on the subtracting of "goddamn" and various other curse words.

silly.
Eh.

i know that superdrag played a few songs that fit the gospel shtick a few years ago at bellecourt theatre. i thought they were good. they said they were trying out some new stuff, and then i never heard those songs again. i wish i could have seen nada surf.

I would say it was more John Lennon White Album era without Yoko's crap.

Jesus Gonna Build Me A Home and Me & My Girl were very good.
