I'm with you. Why couldn't Eddie have been the one with the shotgun in his mouth?
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Ouch... I mean, I think a shotgun would hurt. Well for maybe .02 seconds. Then the pain dissapears into the sweet cozy blackness.

Why? Because they're awesome!!!!!!!

The new self-titled album drops on may 2nd. They're currently playing the first single -- World Wide Suicide-- on the radio. They performed it live this past Saturday on SNL and it sounded great!

I've already pre-ordered the album from tenclub.net because they're giving away a free live CD from NYE 1993 (I think) as well as a free download at the minute it hits stores. I'm beyond excited. I also joined the fan club so I can get a chance at those $60 presale tickets. Nice!

I seriously doubt Nirvana would have had this much staying power. For those who think Pearl Jam is washed up, I suggest you listen to Riot Act. Some of their best work since No Code.

I thought they were washed up when they made No Code.

Don't throw down like that Carl... I totally think Nirvana would've had staying power... especially if it was the direction In Utero and then the Unplugged was going. Sure the loud soft loud thing may have played out but their music was growing. I caught PJ on SNL, liked the first song, but sounded to me like it coulda been on Vitalogy. Haven't seen much PJ growth.

I personally think they're more of a cyclical than linear band. Their last few albums showed "growth", but they seem to be returning more to their angst-y grunge-y days.

After one run-through, I'm a little underwhelmed. WWS was a good choice for a single, but I'm not sure which other tracks stand out.

They better make it to Carolina this summer.

philosophical question: If Carl posts in an empty PJ forum does anyone hear it?

Dude, Sina's the one that wanted to talk about them. It's not my fault she's in love with EV.

And the new Tool.... yeah... pretty background music I guess. Plus, the stereoscope is pretty trippy, huh? I'm sure I'd appreciate both a lot more if I did drugs.
