Got this off of MySpace from the Pixies profile. Met Frank Black at Grimey's yesterday and he said that, hopefully, the Pixies will be back in action in early 2007. smile.gif That could mean an album, tour or both, and the tribute is probably being lined up to help supplement the buzz. Anyways, I think it would be awesome for the Features to record a cover and appear on this compilation. Let's see if we can make that happen by following the instructions of this message and making our recommendations!

From the good people with The Pixies:

HEY!

Our friends over at American Laundromat Records have just announced they are working on a Pixies tribute CD. ALR is all about the music, and to make sure they get it right, they are reaching out to the PIXIES fans and asking for some input.

The first thing you need to do to participate is go signup at the PIXIESMUSIC.COM message board.

Once you do that, go to

http://pixiesmusic.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11162

and enter the following information below:

They want to know:

1. - What 3 PIXIES songs do you NEED to hear on this compilation?

2. - What 3 BANDS/ARTISTS do you NEED to hear on this compilation?

3. - Now mix it up, give us ONE BAND covering ONE SONG:

Thanks! All serious entries will be entered in a drawing to recieve CDs, DVDs, promo items, whatever we can think of, including a shout-out on the album itself!

***DISCLAIMER: ONLY ONE POST PER MEMBER, MULTIPLE POSTS WILL BE DELETED AND THE MEMBER MAY BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE COMPETITION. THANKS!

hmm, this is odd because I've been listening to the Features cover version of "Hey" the past few days now.
