I went to high school with Scatter the Ashes. I find it hard to take them seriously at all because of this. They're from Smyrna...

STA is great. excellent live show. the only thing i hate about going out to see them live is the shit bands they get stuck playing along with.

You went to high school with part of Scatter the Ashes, and I find it hard to take you seriously cause you're from Smyrna. All joking aside, the other part is from Lavergne, so that may not ease anyone's fears. Regardless, they're quite good at what they do, and their album sounds much more mature than their young years. Granted, I may be biased because their drummer smokes my roommate's weed and claims to enjoy my cooking, but I think they're one of the more talented bands in this area, even if stylistically they might not be right up your alley.

But you're from smyrna .....so wouldn't that make you suck ?

Amen on the shitty bands, i just accompanied them on a tour with death by stereo. it's amazing how grown men enjoy playing skater metal

by the way, the show is only 5 bucks, so those of you who don't know the band... the price is right

Actually, I am not from Smyrna. I lived there for one year, 6th grade. I have lived in Murfreesboro for the last 8 years and I lived in Hendersonville for the previous 10 or so. As an outsider who spent a whole lot of time in Smyrna, I can say that it does indeed suck.

And I haven't seen Scatter the Ashes since their early days when they read Bible verses onstage (okay, that was only their debut show, but it was interesting). I hear that they are quite good now, which is great. I'm happy for them.
