Who's heard these guys? Incredible. I noticed this band had one of the highest review scores over at Metacritic.com.

Some sample's found here.

I believe I just learned that one of those guys is an undergrad at NU. I'd been wanting to check them out anyway, but now I'm dying to.

You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.

i actually have the single for WMTS sitting on my desk... need to finish the review and get it back to the station.

i'm not that overwhelmed by it, but i've read some great stuff about it.

next up on my CD buying schedule is somewhere between television, the clash's first record, and the ramones. damn that history of recording class for making me get really into 70s punk.

I'm listening to this album right now. One of the best releases of 2004 in my opinion. I really hope these guys come to Nashville soon.

I thought the title of this thread meant that the weird little alley-style mall downtown had burned down. Shows how out of the math rock loop I am.

Don't math rockers call it the Mobius loop?

The Arcade Fire's record is great, some really fantastic tunes, I reckon best tracks are power out, rebellion(lies) and neighbourhood #1(tunnels).

Got the album off the net, as I live in England. Anyone have any info on an English release date or tour?

anyone found their first EP yet on mp3?

i'd love to hear more of it. my friend burned me a cd with "cars and telephones" on it and it's just gorgeous... less orchestral than 'funeral', more synth.
