Come see The (smoke-free!) Basement attempt to contain both The Privates and On Command tomorrow night. It's only $5! It's advertised for 9pm, so I'm expecting On Command to take the stage around 10:30pm.

For those who haven't heard of the Basement, it's located beneath Grimey's. For those who haven't heard of Grimey's, it's located on 8th Avenue South (aka Franklin Rd.) just a block north of Wedgewood.

UPDATE: This show is now 18+!!!!!

I would even happily not smoke to see them again. It's been forever since I've seen a show of ANY kind, let alone of a band that I love.

He seemed to have a hard time keeping up with Rollum's parts last time, but then again, I know very few drummers who could keep up with Rollum. I'm excited to see him play now that he's had some more time with the band under his belt.

I'm also hoping that we'll be seeing more of the Privates now that they no longer have to coordinate with The Features' increasingly busy schedule.

It's obvious enough, but they're very different drummers. I think each could play circles around the other in different circumstances. That said, Scott Martin is a motherfucker on the kit and the only person that could have stepped to the plate and he's doing a bang up job as far as I'm concerned. Let bells ring tra la la.
