ATTENTION!!!
Murfreesboro based independent record label Vacant Cage Records is turning a year old later this month and we have decided to give back to the local music scene in the best way we possibly could. First off, for a limited time only we have created a sampler disc that contains 10 tracks, 2 from each of the 5 artists on the Vacant Cage Records roster, of FREE music. All you have to do is go towww.vacantcagerecords.com and download all the tracks that we are making available. The best part is that most of this material is yet to released and FREE!!
Secondly, Vacant Cage Records will be having their 1 year anniversary show at The Boro in Murfreesboro, TN on October 2, 2004. The show will include the resurgent Fluid Ounces, The Hotpipes, Casio Casanova, and Across the Fields. Admission is only $2 and in addition to partaking in a great night of music, Vacant Cage Records will also be giving you a free beer just for showing up.Also ,Kelly Kerr will recieve a mullet on stage! Hope to see you there!!!

Thank you,

Brock Vincion Sharp

For those of you who missed it, our very own ghostflower is now sporting a very chic mullet. Who knew that Chiren could cut hair?

The show was really great. Congratulations on making it through your first year, guys.

So THATS who ghostflower is! ive been wondering where to attach that face for quite some while now. i mean i probably could just introduce myself to people but that would mean me putting myself out there and im way too shy for that. oh and im guessing Chiren was the bouncy redhead?
anyway...fluid ounces was great. couldve done without hot pipes. sucks that their drummer wasnt around but that doesnt mean they shouldve put us through what sounded like hastily thrown together neil YOUNG (either way, not my thing) covers. no thanks.

I wasn't there, but I believe they were Neil Young covers. There's a huge difference. In fact, I believe they played After the Gold Rush in its entirety. And I wish I could've seen that.

hey, i didn't see you there. stand in a more noticeable place next time.

the mullet is a sad sad thing. there is no way sadie and i could have fixed that. just shave it and we'll re-cut it when it grows out a bit. or keep it.
