Hey, whatever it takes to get people into old country is OK with me. I like this record too. Jack White is a little Rick Rubin! I'd really like to produce a record for Jerry Reed someday.
This album is such a weird departure for Loretta Lynn. The record almost sounds like a new cool "Yall-ternative" band like Lucero or the White Stripes themselves (obviously).!

Loretta and Jack were on David Letterman last night. It was a very good performance which may lead me to buy the album.

wow, how did i miss this topic before?

i definitely love this album. i know this is too many, but my favorites are "portland oregon," "family tree," "high on a mountain top," "this old house, " and "mrs. leroy brown."

i like something about every song, but i'd have to say my least favorites are "have mercy" and "god makes no mistakes."

my mom likes the album too. she has a theory as to why loretta and jack work so well together. she says that loretta believes in reincarnation and that her son, jack, passed away. my mom is nancy drew.

**okay, apparently she is playing the following dates at her ranch in hurricane mills, tn: 5/29, 7/03, 10/02. hopefully i can make it to one.
