I find this test to be a bit slanted, because I can read the questions, and see where they are going... but then again going to 17 years of Catholic school and studying world religions a good 10 of those, will do that...

so with that in mind:

If you're going to worship him, you should know it's spelled LaVey. You could imagine the embarrassment if the Dark Lord saw you spelling his name wrong!

I'm pissed that Daiglenetics didn't make it to the list. I've heard it's just like Uniterian Universalist, though, so I'm safe.

I was to lazy to look up the dark masters name... I figured he'd forgive my sloth-like way in not looking his name up... it is after all a cardinal sin.

Forgot to post my results, but I scored high on Mainline Protestant, Universalist Unitarian, Liberal Quaker, Eastern Orthodox, and Roman Catholic.

No real surprise there as I am a convert to Catholicism from Protestantism. I felt their take Catholicism was pretty conservative for my tastes.

What intrigued me was that many (including myself) scored high on the Quaker scale. My dad's brother was a Quaker minister, and I never really knew what that was all about. I just remember my mom criticizing them for wearing pants, even jeans (Huh!) to church. Ha! Fun childhood memories.

Last one was Roman Catholic (10%), which is what I'm married to. I took this quiz about 5 years ago & was primarily U-U & Quaker. Seems I've gotten very Eastern. Who is Jain? Quakers rule- check out the American Friends Service Committee.

My friend just came back from India and saw many Jains. They are devoted to Gurus, and nature is very important to them-they don't believe in harming any living creature. She said they would wear masks to keep from ingesting bugs and would sweep in front of them so they wouldn't step on anything.

Yes. They're like ultra-extreme Hindus. They only eat fruit that falls from the tree on its own. Yes, that's right - they don't even believe in picking fruits and vegetables!

You wanna know why you don't meet many Jainists? Because most of them have starved to death!

I agree completely. I was talking to TF about that the other night. And, a couple questions didn't have answers that I agreed with very strongly at all. They, of course, got marked as not being that important.

I was raised pretty strictly catholic, but my mom left the church when i was in high school and she's more new age now and i've kind of adopted a lot of her outlook, so this makes sense. Strangely, though, my pro life abortion stance didn't effect the outcome.
