I can't believe this has happened again, especially after such a day of jubilation for London. My heart is heavy for the UK and for the world. I hope everyone on this MB is OK and their friends and families, too. I can't imagine what it is like in London right now, but I will keep them all in my thoughts and prayers.

I was shocked to find out what happened this morning. It's hard to believe there are people out there who would do such things at will.

What provoked you to say something like that!! You can go out and shit on people's comments. By the way I'm 16 - a little too young for you.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I seem to remember something about a certain drummer of a certain young up-and-coming Nashville band...

you're pathetically naive.

and irritating.

i can't really comment on your second sentence because it doesn't make sense, but the age thing... now that's funny. especially after callin you out on your very low position on the maturity scale. stop attempting to flatter yourself when dealing with me, dude.

I probably shouldn't say this, but your completely meaningless comments and your extreme lack of intelligence really turns me on.

Okay, wait a second now. This topic is about London....SO we should talk about it. Why am I arguing with a 26 year old woman about...what are we arguing about. If it is due to spelling errors or naivety then please let it be. Just because you have an opinion that you feel strongly about doesn't mean you should express it because not everyone would appreciate it.

Sina's 26? Now I've heard everything.

(always good to see Sina taking the piss out of most people)
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

It's always good to provide entertainment through arguments.

That's just the way she operates, dude. Let it roll off your back.

In other news, my littlest sis is in London right now, and I was relieved to learn that she narrowly escaped being on one of the subways in question this morning. It was an unbelievable turn of events, and I am so thankful right now, yet I grieve deeply for those not so fortunate.

OH I am sooo thankful she is OK! I know you must have been upset this morning until you heard from her. I was a mess just knowing Roger is in the UK! I know there are Londonians on the MB and many of us have friends/family over there right now from the states...I hope all of them are safe and well.

The London Mayor and Bush had equally great things to say afterward.

Yesterday was a very strange day.

Watching the events unfold in the office, watching the TV news, listening to BBC news radio, everyone searching on the internet... I was working here when 911 unfolded, and it was similar experience. The lead weight in the stomach. Waiting to hear that friends and family were ok.

I was fine of course. I have a friend who was behind the bus that exploded. Needless to say he's not able to talk about it right now. I had a friend who was stuck underground, and had to walk through the tunnel to safety.

I haven't been able to use the tube myself today. There's still that feeling of nervous anticipation. I'm going back home to my family this weekend. I just need to get out of here.

One thing I will say is that the reaction of Londoners was amazing. There was such calm on the streets. The police and health service did a marvelous job. It does make me proud to live in a city that really was prepared, and that reacted so calmly.

Anyway, I thought you might want to know how it all felt. I wasn't directly affected, just the obvious transport disruptions and hearing of experiences through friends second hand. Yet it's had a profound impact on Londoners and their families.

We'll bounce back though.

London was a very strange place to be yesterday. Even out in the suburbs where I live, there were swarms of police around the station. Most people i reckon spent the day trying to phone friends and relatives to check they were ok. My family are ok, and friends although a couple were on a bus behind the one that exploded and are now, obviously, in an extreme state of shock. I don't know about other londoners, but i really felt very depressed, and in a state of grieving, for the city and the people, and also a bit of realisation, I think lots of people were just waiting for something like this to happen. I'm just surprised the tube hasn't been targeted before. I agree with ladytron in that Londoners held it together amazingly, the calm and order that took hold post attacks made me feel proud. I don't know about anyone else, but it was the bus incident that scared me the most.

Just like 9-11, I'm extremely proud to see how people can take tradgedy and use it as a catalyst to bring people together in brotherhood. It's a nice big "fuck you" to the terrorists.

I'm amazed no-one has said anything here since the developments of the second bombing and the capture of these people.
