i believe you're referring to the acadians. that is, if in fact you are referring to the cajuns. arcadia is, among other things, the name of a city. i think it was also a cartoon from my childhood, which may or may not have had french fry looking characters. that reminds me...

when i was a child, i always assumed that the doozers little building sticks tasted like french fries. that would explain why fraggles were so keen on eating them.
