Isn't Kabbalah just the New Age version of Judaism? I know it has something to do with studying the power behind letters, but isn't that usually reserved for the very well-studied Orthodox as opposed to say, a bandwagon-y pop star?

I'm by no means a religious or even very spiritual person, but it really gets on my nerves when people like Madonna highly publicize their faith of the month. I think it's disrespectful. If she keeps it up for the rest of her life (like George Harrison and his devotion to Eastern spirituality) I will happily retract my statement.
