TOPIC: NFL Playoff Predictions
Posted  Friday, January 7, 2005 at 6:04 PM

(You may notice I have no upsets whatsoever in the AFC. It just seems pretty well ranked already. The only "upsets" I have in the NFC are the Packers in the first two games.)

Wildcard Weekend: (AFC) Colts and Chargers (NFC) Packers and Rams
Divisional Championship: (AFC) Patriots and Steelers (NFC) Packers and Eagles
Conference Championship: (AFC) Steelers (NFC) Eagles

I see the Steelers winning the all-Pensylvania Superbowl.

Go Pats! I need Charlie Weis' offense to put up big numbers. They have to look good for my Notre Dame recruits.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

I'm calling Patriots and the Rams. Rams will win it.

Eagles and Colts Superbowl - Kearse finally gets his ring.

As much as I HATE Manning and proclaim nonstop about him not being able to win a big game, I just don't logically see anyone able to beat him. The Pats might have before they lost Ty Law and that other guy.

All those ND recruits went to Iowa... sorry.

Playoff prediction: Plummer plays out of his ass and beats the Cotls.

Wow, I'm feeling pretty boring and conservative with my picks right now.

For those keeping score: I misspoke on my "upsets" in the NFC. I meant Rams (#5 over #4) in the first round and Packers (#3 over #2) in the second.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm rooting for the Patriots, but I feel the Steelers have their number.

Damn you Hawkeyes! Damn you and your Kirk Ferentz! Weis has made a lot of improvement on the lousy recruiting job that Willingham was doing.

Nice pick on that Colts game wink.gif

Don't you love it when all the home teams win and make everything that happened last week completely inconsequential?

Go PATS!

I'm extremely happy that the AFC half of my prediction didn't hold up. The Pats are gonna smear TO and crew. (Yes, I realize that TO probably won't play, but that obviously doesn't stop him from thinking he's the goddamn MVP of the team)

That's very awesome! He will have a blast (assuming he doesn't sell them and make a small fotune)! I have been to Jacksonville for a few Titans games and despite what everyone is saying, I really liked it there. There is a really good mongolian grill just past hooters that he'll have to eat at- its fantastic!

I heard it was a grocery store grand opening prize. Are you going, too, Smee, or just your little pootie?

the publix in smyrna was celebrating their grand opening - but the prize was actually through 104.5. i have no desire to go, but my "little pootie" is definitely going (patriots fan).

no kidding man. I almost won tickets 2 years ago to the AFC Championship in Oakland. And that was after I took part in a ridiculous competition just for a shot at the tickets.

Nope. I was pretty much just waiting for The Simpsons and American Dad to come on. The Simpsons was better, but I think AD has some potential.

I wish I could have. I watched the game from a hotel in new orleans offering an all you can eat cajun buffet (including clams and other various seafood by the way). I ate waaaaaaay too much gumbo, poboys, and etoufette. I was pretty damn bloated.

I'll have to see a few more episodes before I make the call on that one. The pilot was definitely weak. There was just too much, and it was like the whole thing was trying too hard to be the Family Guy.

the 5 minutes i saw of american dad very much sucked. it was like a weak, alternate reality of family guy. from what i could tell, it had almost the exact same characters, yet slightly different.
