TOPIC: Oh, Krystal...

So I was at Krystal the other night and saw something strange on the menu: a full-size hamburger. They call it the Angus Burger. Maybe this is new and maybe it's not, but either way, Krystal: please! Wasn't it bad enough that they had to jump on the chicken nugget and salad bandwagons? Now they have to get on the Angus beef bandwagon (not to mention the full-size hamburger bandwagon)? Krystal, when will you realize that people only go to Krystal to get KRYSTALS?

I agree. Plus, if they price it in proportion to the original Krystals, it's probably like an $18 burger, isn't it?

Are you familiar with White Castle? Krystal is the southern equivalent-- little tiny overpriced greasy "burgers". Actually, we have both varieties. Another reason why Nashville is the best city in the USA.

In the town where I was born, a town called Dover, Tennessee, there is this little burger joint, called the Dairy Dip. Just a shitty little small burger joint, and they make the best little square burgers I've had in my life....Anytime I happen to be in town, I always get five or six. Should any of you kids end up lost in that crummy little town, go ahead and stop by the Dariy Dip and grab a couple. Better than White Castle and Krystal combined.

On an unrelated note, when I read "Oh Krystal....." I wanted to follow that up with "You came and you gave without taking."
That's so NA.

Is that the same Dover that's on Lake Barkley?

has anyone tried hardee's "slammers"? they're mini krystal sized burgers, but they're made of the same meat as their thickburgers, and they're at least twice as thick as krystal patties. at 2 for a dollar, they beat a 53 cent krystal any day. i'm not sure if it's a limited time deal, or some experiment. i thought it was a hoax at first, but they're great.

Krystal's is good and the reason that I like them better than White Castle is because WC's hamburger buns are always dryed out. Give me Krystal's anyday (though I'll take either). Also, Krystal's has the Chik, which filled the massive void left by Kentucky Fried Chicken's "Chicken Littles." That's the gamebreaker in my opinion.
