I saw the Features play last night, opening for Guster(my favorite band

). The day before the show, I checked on the Guster site to see who the opening act would be, so then I made my way to the Features website to check them out. I liked what I heard, so I was excited about seeing them live. I managed to get a spot front row, almost center. They came out and set up, and the entire time I was telling the people around me how great I thought they were going to be. I don't remember what song they opened with, but my friend Kat and I were completely absorbed in them. Not many other people were. They were all just standing there, blank looks on their faces. Between every song, someone would yell, "SEND OUT GUSTER!" or something along the lines of that. It really annoyed me. So, the Features aren't what Guster fans would typically listen to. So what? There was no need to be rude.

Everyone was there to have a good time, so why not just enjoy the band? I kept yelling really great things to them over the other obnoxious Guster fans. It just really bothered me. So at the end of the entire show, I went to the merchandise booths and bought The Beginning (and so did the other three girls I was with). They'll be back in my area in May, so I'm definitely going to check them out again & I'm forcing almost everyone I know to come with me.

So even if some of the people there didn't appreciate the band, a handful of them did. The last Guster show I went to, the Graham Colton Band opened. I enjoyed them, but not nearly as much as I liked the Features. (Yay.) They're a great, great band, and absolutely phenomenal live...though I'm sure many of you already are aware of that. lol.
