but i KNEW you would say something, cause i saw you rocking out. oh well. they were awesome! i saw them twice this week, once on monday night at 12 at 12th, and then again tonight. tonights show was freakin awesome..... and i think i'm gonna have to marry derek. that guy's the cutest thing i've ever seen.

Yeah, I was there, and I agree. They kick so much ass! They need to play more often-- especially at larger clubs.

Is anyone else pissed that they scheduled De Novo Dahl, Jetpack, Imaginary Baseball League, and Lone Official at the same time last night?

Yes I am, Carl. Specifically, I really wanted to see Loan Official, but how often do you get to see De Novo Dahl, you know?

I'm occupied Friday night, but Saturday night is going to be my marathon NMC night:

8:00 - Green Rode Shotgun @ the End
8:50 - Popular Genius @ the Springwater
9:30-11:00 - either the Instrumental/Experimental show @ the Pub of Love or the Bluegrass show @ 3rd & Lindsley, or some of both
11:20 - Character @ the Slow Bar
After Midnight - Rap/Hiphop show @ Nitelife, if I have any energy left

I'm seeing verde (10:30) and the luxury liners (11:20) back to back at the End tonight. There's a bunch of other stuff I'd like to see (i.e. My Tyger), but once again, everything's happening at the same time.

You guys could have caught Lone Official. They didn't end up starting until like 11:15. I ended up catching most of Jetpack and all of Lone Official. Tonight, I have to miss My Tyger since I'm playing and all. Tomorrow I'll be seeing the Watercolor release show (unfortunately not a part of 2nmc so I'll have to actually pay) and then Character.

Hearing this makes it hard to be glad I'm living in South Dakota. BTW- does My Tyger have any release plans in the works?

Yes, Mysterious Lauren, there are plans. The material has been recorded, and a contract for its release is (slowly but surely) being ironed out.

i got there during the last 2 songs and not the last two songs of de novo dahl, but the last two songs of the night. i'm starting to feel bad for having a crush on someone this long without seeing or hearing his band, especially when he puts so much of himself into it. ew, that was too sappy, sorry.

De Novo Dahl are really, really nice guys who have a shot at making it. Other than that, I will follow my mom's advice: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

College graduation is such a waste of time. They'll mail your diploma to you so it's not like you have to go or anything. I think you should skip the pomp and circumstance and go see a great rock show.

I graduated UT in May. My dad was golfing in Nashville that Saturdayand my mom also stayed in Nashville for the Steeplechase. So, I partied hardy the night before and slept thru commencement.

i know it is probably just a mistake, but the de novo dahl website says their show with you is on the 13th. it's probably just a mistake though. hopefully, cause that's the features' nashville show night. i hope it's just wrong

It's a mistake. The show was originally scheduled for the 13th, but has been moved because of that Features show.

huh? i think we got confusing or something. i mean, if de novo dahl is opening for the features that would be awesome. but i was just saying that on the de novo dahl website it said their show was on the 13th, the same night as the features show and i hoped they weren't playing at the same time. so i was just making sure their show was the 6th instead.... BUT maybe they are playing together and i have no idea what i'm talkign about. hopefully that is the case.

Once again, the De Novo Dahl/Verde/Hot Pipes (not Lone Official) show has been moved to December 6th at The End. It is no longer on the 13th.

Actually, for the record, it's just Mark & Joel of De Novo Dahl that are opening for David Mead tonight at 12th & Porter, not the whole band. I just wanted to clear that up.

Man, last night was like a Features message board reunion at The End for the Verde/De Novo Dahl show. Keith, Neuboy, Deevol, JamieCarroll, Lauren, Sinasugarsic, Carligula, and Roadie were all in attendance. It was also nice to meet Rhinestone Cowboy, although he had never heard of me. Come on, aren't I pretty famous as far as the Features Message Board goes? Apparently not. Maybe I need to post more.

ANYWAY, it was a great night of music, and it was good to see Features message board people outside of a Features show.

Anyway, the show got me psyched for the 13th- especially because I REALLY enjoyed De Novo Dahl, much more than I expected to. The last time I saw them was way back last spring & I was underwhelmed then. But their songs were interesting & well-executed & they were totally into playing, which I love.
