This just in-- The Privates and Rich Creamy Paint are playing thursday night at Exit/In with Aveo who are on the Barsuk label (Death Cab, Long Winters, Rilo Kiley, John Vanderslice, etc.). I've never heard them, but this is what the website had to say:
For all you Privates fans, keep in mind we'll be having fewer chances to see them in the future as Rollum reaches rock god status with the Features. Plus, how often do you get to see Keith play in two of his 67 bands in ONE NIGHT? If you haven't seen Rich Creamy Paint, prepare for pure power pop bliss.
Aveo (pronounced "a-VAY-o") have been making powerful music since 2000. Their first record, 2001's bridge to the northern lights, was produced by Phil Ek (of Built to Spill and Modest Mouse fame). It captivated fans immediately, and propelled the band to become one of the hottest acts in town. Barsuk Records is pleased to be releasing the follow-up CD, battery (also produced by Phil Ek), an elegant blend of hope and devastation, a lush terrain of unconventional chord structures, stylish vocal melodies, and chiming guitars.

Daigle is all we need to make the night complete
