TOPIC: Rollum-related: Privates CD-release this THURSDAY
Posted  Sunday, October 16, 2005 at 10:31 AM
Post 1 of 37
Ok, sorry for the self-promotion, and for posting this in General, but it has to do with Rollum, so I'm doing it and Carl's my best friend in the whole world so he'll leave it here.
[Sorry, Keith-- CarlW]

Anyway, The Privates (which once again features Rollum on drums) are playing this Thursday Oct. 20, at The Basement in Nashville. It is the official release show for our new EP, "Louder Than Lightning." You can hear some of the tracks on our myspace profile.

If you happened to see us in Murfreesboro the other night, come again because this time we'll be playing a longer set and also this time we're going to practice and everything. It'll also be your last chance to see us live for awhile.

To summarize:
The Privates
Thurs. Oct. 20th
The Basement (8th Ave. S.)
EP Release show (only $5 for the new EP)
18+
$5
10PM

Is 'Louder Than Lightning' on Ficticious Records too? Do you know when it will be available through their website?

It's not on Fictitious. It's self-released. I'll make it available online as soon as my computer is un-fucked.

Yes. Eventually I want to overhaul the whole thing, but as soon as I can, I'm going to do some basic updates and add a video that was made for The Mighty Ducks Are Back!

Jimmy The Lung and Junkboxx. I know nothing of either of these bands. We were added onto the bill after those bands were already booked, but we're still headlining.

It looks like, if no one flakes out on me, I'm set to catch my first Privates show tomorrow night. And Carl, I'll say hi this time, if I spot you . Well, I probably will, anyway. I don't know what any of you other cads look like, so you'll have to miss out.

Yeah, I saw a picture somewhere. Probably MySpace. I recognized you at the (awesome) show at the Boro a few weeks before the album release show at Rockettown. You verified the siting in this thread.

And sorry, Keith, but I'll have to pass, as I get nervous around celebrities.

Loved the second new song, it threw me off in a good way.

And I forgot to buy the EP.

The show was indeed awesome as is the new EP. It was also nice to see Rollum back behind the kit with the Privates again.

Can anyone tell me the full title of the first song on the EP?
